Macro
The works of macro photography always intrigued me — getting so close to the subject and photographing them in life-size. I start exploring macro using Fujifilm XF 80mm Macro lens this summer (2022). I hope you like the ones I have curated for you.
Pollinator in action — I spotted them accidentally while photographing dandelions this spring. Seeing those pollens sticking to their legs is fantastic.
Working hard — a bee working hard pollinating plants.
A ladybug, pollinating at the local park.
Macro shots are more complicated than it looks. It took about 40-50 out-of-focus photographs to nail it finally. Even at the narrow aperture, the DOF is razer thin, making it hard to get the focus right with a camera such as Fujifilm X-T3 (no modern autofocus).
